Editorial Process
How we create our career content
Our guides, examples, and in-app suggestions follow a consistent process so you can trust what you read.
Research
We start from what employers ask for: current job postings, common requirements for each role, and hiring practices such as applicant tracking systems. Topics are chosen based on the questions job seekers ask most.
Writing
Content is written in plain language with practical examples. Resume and cover letter examples use fictional people and employers, and every bullet point is written to show impact rather than list duties.
Review
Before publishing, each piece is checked for accuracy, clarity, and inclusive language. We avoid advice that could disadvantage candidates, such as including protected personal information on a resume.
AI assistance
Our AI tools generate suggestions inside the builder. You review and edit every suggestion before it appears on your document, and our tools are instructed never to invent employers, degrees, or achievements.
Updates and corrections
We review guides regularly and show the last updated date on each article. If you spot an error, please let us know through our contact page and we'll correct it promptly.
