Overview

This policy explains what information We Build Resume (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address, and your sign-in details, which are handled by our authentication provider. We never see your password.
• Document content: the resumes, cover letters, and files you create or upload, including any photo or signature you add.
• Billing information: your plan and payment status. Card details are entered on our payment processor's page and are never stored on our servers.
• Usage and security information: basic technical data such as IP address, used to prevent abuse, stop bots, and enforce fair-use limits on free tools.
• Messages: what you send through our contact form, reviews you post, and your email if you request a free template.

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information.

• To provide the builder, save your documents, and generate downloads.
• To power AI writing features. The text you submit to these features is sent to our AI provider to generate suggestions.
• To process payments, send receipts, plan reminders, and answer support requests.
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only: to keep you signed in, to remember the documents you build before creating an account, and to remember that you passed a bot check. We don't use advertising cookies.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the service, when you choose to share a document link, or when required by law:

• Hosting, security, and PDF generation (Cloudflare)
• Database (Supabase)
• Sign-in and account management (Clerk)
• Payments (Paystack)
• Email delivery (Resend)
• AI writing features (Anthropic)

Retention and deletion

We keep your account and documents until you delete them. You can delete individual documents anytime, or delete your account and all its documents from your account settings. Drafts created without an account are deleted after 90 days without changes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your information, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request.
